End probes from the CIC YAC library were made using a protocol developed from the IPCR procedure of Ochman et. al (1988). Table 1 below lists the combination of YAC end, restriction enzyme, and primer pair required for a given end probe amplification. Table 2 indicates the restriction enzyme used to generate each of the CIC end probes used in constructing the chromosome 2 physical map.
