Putative genes were identified
using a combination of three gene prediction programs. "Grail" (1)
was run using client server software and selecting for Arabidopsis as
the DNA source. "Genescan" (2) was run with the Arabidopsis organism
option and exon cutoff of 1.0. "Genefinder" (3) was run with the
Arabidopsis tables developed by ESSA (European Scientists Sequencing
Arabidopsis). Once the gene predictions were made, the BAC sequence
was compaired to sequences deposited in Genbank using blastn and
blastx. In addition, the predicted translation products were compared
using blastp. Colors represent the following:
